Emergency Plumber Eagle ID Near Nampa

24/7 Emergency Line Open

Eagle hugs the Boise River where it splits around Eagle Island, with foothills rising behind State Street. Census takers counted 30,346 residents in 2020, a 52 percent jump over 2010, which means plenty of houses here are still on their original water heaters and fixtures.

River-bottom lots, hillside homes and two separate water utilities make Eagle plumbing a little different from Nampa's. Our line takes Eagle calls 24 hours a day.

River Channels, Islands and Foothills

The Boise River splits into channels as it passes Eagle, which is how Eagle Island got its name. Truman Coe Catlin settled the island in 1863 and later turned it into dairy country, and Eagle Island State Park now sits on part of that ground west of town.

North of State Street, the land climbs into foothills where newer homes sit on larger, sloped lots. Long service lines, pressure differences between low and high ground, and landscaping irrigation on steep yards all show up in the calls from that side of town.

Close to the river, low-lying lots are where it pays to check crawlspaces after the irrigation season starts, and to keep a sump pump tested if the home has one.

What Eagle Homes Call a Plumber For

Most Eagle housing is recent, so the calls follow age and lot type more than old pipe.

If You Have a Burst Pipe or Active Leak in Eagle

Eagle's newer homes usually put the main shutoff in the garage or a utility room near the water heater, while older downtown houses may have it near the front foundation.

  • Shut off the main valve. Close it fully. If you cannot find it on a foothill home, check where the service line enters from the street side, often a lower garage wall.
  • Kill power to wet areas. Switch off breakers for rooms with water on the floor, only from a dry spot.
  • Clear the immediate area. Move rugs, electronics and furniture away from the water, and keep children and pets out.
  • Call our 24/7 line. Tell the dispatcher which water provider bills you, since that decides who handles anything on the street side of the meter.
Two Water Providers

City of Eagle Water or Eagle Water Company

Eagle homes are not all on the same water system. Some are served by the City of Eagle, and others by Eagle Water Company, a privately owned utility founded in 1974 and regulated by the Idaho Public Utilities Commission.

That matters when something goes wrong near the street. A leak at the meter or on the utility's side is the provider's job, while the line from the meter to the house is generally the owner's. Your water bill shows which provider you have, and it is worth knowing before an emergency.

Inside the house, the plumbing work is the same either way, done to the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) that Idaho's plumbing code is based on. The plumber confirms which permit office applies to your address.

Around Eagle

Eagle Areas and What Each One Asks For

Each part of Eagle has its own typical call, and emergency dispatch reaches every one of them around the clock.

Downtown and State Street

The older core around State Street has the oldest plumbing in town, so a pressure check and a sewer camera look make sense before any remodel there.

Near Eagle Island State Park

Low-lying lots west of town, close to the river channels, where crawlspace moisture and groundwater are worth watching each summer.

The foothills

Larger lots and long service runs north of town. Leaks on a long buried line can run for weeks before a wet spot appears.

Newer subdivisions

Much of Eagle went up after 2000. Original water heaters, fixtures and backflow assemblies are now reaching their first round of repairs.

Eagle Questions

Plumbing Questions from Eagle Homeowners

Yes. Eagle emergency calls are answered 24 hours a day, every day, for burst pipes, failed water heaters, sewer backups and major leaks.

Eagle uses a single ZIP code, 83616, and we cover all of it, from downtown along State Street and the river lots near Eagle Island State Park to the foothill neighborhoods north of town.

Check the name on your water bill. Some Eagle homes are on City of Eagle water and others on Eagle Water Company. Problems at the meter or on the street side go to that provider.

On foothill lots, elevation alone can lower pressure at upper floors. A failing pressure-reducing valve or an undersized line can also cause it. A pressure test at the house sorts out which one.

Homes in the older downtown core can have aging supply and drain lines, unlike the newer subdivisions. A sewer camera inspection before buying or remodeling one is good insurance.

We also serve Star to the west and Nampa to the southwest, on the same 24/7 line.
